Austin O Pte 40141 8th Norfolk Regiment Owen Austin (Compositor) was mobilised with the Cambridgeshire Regt. at the outbreak of war, having been in the Territorial Force since 1912. He was afterwards transferred to the Norfolk Regt., in which he served in the 9th and the 8th Bns. He went to France in September 1916, but was wounded on October 15th and was in England until March 1917, when he returned to France. In November 1917 he was invalided home, and was discharged on medical grounds in February 1918.
