Aves E C CSM 21926 Machine Gun Corps   Edward Charles Aves (Compositor), a Territorial before the war, was mobilised with the Cambridgeshire Regt. on August 4th, 1914; he was afterwards transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, but previously to that he held the appointments of Company Quartermaster-Sergeant and Company Sergeant- Major in the 1/1st Bn. Cambridgeshire Regt. He landed in France in February 1915 and served overseas continuously for more than three years.
