Blane E V LCpl 325147 1st Cambridgeshire Regiment Ernest Victor Blane (Apprentice machine-minder), having been in the Territorial Force since 1912, was mobilised with the Cambridgeshire Regt. on August 4th, 1914. He went overseas with the 1/1st Bn. in February 1915 and served continuously in France and Belgium for years. He was promoted Lance-Corporal in May 1915. He was afterwards transferred to the 3rd (Res.) Bn. Suffolk Regt.
