Coney E C Pte 6424 9th London Regiment Trans 14539 Machine Gun Corps Edward Charles Coney (Country Department, Fetter Lane) enlisted in August 1915 in the 9th Bn. London Regt. He went to France in November 1916 and in April 1917 he was wounded and returned to England. He rejoined his unit in France in September 1917 but was invalided home in the following December. In March 1918 he was placed in category B3 and transferred to the 6th Bn. Machine Gun Corps for clerical work.  Source : War Record Of Cambridge University Press 1914-1919 |
