Cowley S F L/Cpl 38146 1st Royal Warwickshire Regiment Sidney Frank Cowley (Apprentice machine-minder), being under military age, served with the Sea Scouts on coastguard duty in Devonshire from December 1916 until he was eligible for the Army. In May 1917 he enlisted in the 32nd Training Reserve Bn. He was promoted Lance-Corporal in August 1917, and in December 1917 he joined the 1st Bn. Royal Warwickshire Regt. in France.
