Mason G L/Bmdr Royal Garrison Artillery
George Mason (Compositor) enlisted in July 1917 in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He served for 10 months in the Sussex R.G.A. at Dover, and in September 1918 he was transferred to 120 Siege Battery in France. He was afterwards attached to 66th Bde. H.Q., and was promoted Lance-Bombardier in January 1919. He served for 3 months in the Army of Occupation in Germany, during which time he was a valuable member of a Divisional Concert Party.
