Charles James Round (Counting-house, Fetter Lane) enlisted in July 1916 in the 3/13th London Regiment (Kensington Bn.), in which he was employed as Signalling Instructor and held the temporary appointment of Lance-Corporal. He went to France in July 1917 on transfer to the 2nd Bn. King's Royal Rifle Corps, with which he served until his return to England for demobilisation in January 1919.
