Simmons F Pte 17th London Regiment Frank Simmons (Counting-house, Fetter Lane) enlisted within a few weeks of the outbreak of war in the 17th County of London Regt. He went to France in March 1915 and was wounded during the Battle of Loos, in the following September, but did not return home. He was again wounded on November 27th, 1917, during the Cambrai operations, and was this time sent to hospital in England. He was demobilised in March 1919.
