MAJOR JAMES HAROLD MACDONALD, T.D., 19 York Place, Edinburgh.
Gazetted Captain 7th Royal Scots September 1914. Promoted Major June 1916. Served in France with 9th Royal Scots in 1917 and was wounded. Attached Headquarters, Tay Defences, June 1918.

CAPTAIN ROBERT McCOSH, O.B.E., Southernwood, Davidson's Mains.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant Lanarkshire Yeomanry in September 1914. Service in Gallipoli, Egypt, and Palestine from 1915-19. Promoted Staff Captain 1917 D.A.Q.M.G. 1918. Awarded O.B.E. (Military), and Military Cross, and Order of the Nile. Mentioned in Dispatches.

2nd LIEUTENANT DAVID CAMPBELL MACEWEN, 9 Douglas Crescent, Edinburgh.
Received Commission in Royal Scots in December 1915. Proceeded to France in August 1916 and took part in the operations on the Somme. Towards the end of that year went through the successful action at Beaumont Hamel. Subsequently saw service in other parts of the line. Whilst leading his platoon against the German trenches in the attack on Vimy Ridge at the opening of the Battle of Arras on 9th April 1917, seriously wounded, and died at a Casualty Clearing Station on l0th April 1917. Buried in Military Cemetery, Aubigny.

LIEUTENANT JEFFREY BLACKSTOCK McGLASHAN, Gatehouse-on-Fleet.
Enlisted in 9th Royal Scots 1st September 1914. Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in 6th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders 15th January 1915. Promoted Lieutenant 1st June 1916. Served in Belgium from January 1917 to August 1917, and in France and Italy from August 1917 to November 1918. Gassed while with 51st Division near Maing (Valenciennes Area) 25th October 1918. Served with 3rd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Ireland and Scotland until 15th July 1919.

LIEUTENANT AUGUSTUS WALLACE MACGREGOR, Northern Club, George Street, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in 4th K.O.S.B. 19th November 1915. Served at various stations in this country. Promoted Lieutenant 1st July 1917.
