Collins B Cpl 325270 1st Cambridgeshire Regiment Bertie Collins (Apprentice compositor), having already served for nearly a year in the Territorial Force, was mobilised in August 1914 with the Cambridgeshire Regt. He was promoted Lance-Corporal in March 1916, Corporal in May 1916, and Sergeant in the same month. On proceeding overseas in December 1917 he reverted to Private, but within a few months he had once more attained the rank of Corporal.
