Howard F L/Cpl 10th Essex Regiment Frederick Howard (Counting-house, Fetter Lane) enlisted in October 1916, when nearly 40 years of age, in the Essex Regt. He served in the 2/6th Bn. and the 1/7th Bn. until March 1918, when he joined the 10th Bn. in France. He was promoted Lance-Corporal in the Lewis gun section in the following June, and was demobilised in January 1919.
