King A H G Pte 44092 2nd Suffolk Regiment Alfred Henry George King (Machine Room) enlisted in June 1916 in the 1/4th Bn. Suffolk Regt.; he was later transferred successively to the 11th and 2nd Bns. of the same regiment. He went to France in December 1916 and served there continuously until November 1918. He was wounded in June 1917 and again in March 1918; and on two occasions he became a casualty from gas-shelling, in August and October 1918.
