6th Kings Own Scottish Borderers
William Frederick Stevenson (Country Department, Fetter Lane), being only 16 years old on the outbreak of war, enlisted in February 1917 in the Seaforth Highlanders; he served later in the Scottish Rifles and the King's Own Scottish Borderers. He went to France in August 1917, and in the following April he was wounded but did not return to England. He was more seriously wounded in August 1918 and was sent to hospital in England; he was demobilised in January 1919.
