Williams D E C Pte 52nd Royal Sussex Regiment Donald Ernest Charles Williams (Apprentice machine-minder) was only 14 years old at the outbreak of war. In July 1918 he enlisted in the 52nd Bn. Royal Sussex Regt. and in April 1919 was drafted into the Army of Occupation in Germany, where, at the time of writing, he was still serving.
