(We are fairly beating the Germans now)<\/p>\n<p>Hughes John Stanley (Stan) Pte 406064 5th King\u2019s Liverpool Regiment<br \/>\nBorn 1897 in Liverpool. Parents John And Harriet Hughes. Lived at 4 Heyes St, Everton, Liverpool.<br \/>\nEnlisted 7th Sep 1914 in 5th Liverpool Regiment To France 21st Feb\u00a0 1915.<br \/>\nAttained rank of Lance Corporal and transferred to Military Foot Police.<br \/>\nMarried Florence Mabel Avant a housemaid at 80 Alexandra Road, Hamsptead, London on the 4th June 1917 while on leave.<br \/>\nDischarged from the army November 1918 age 22 years 3 months as no longer fit for military service.<br \/>\nDied in 1963 aged 66.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Patriotic World War One postcard take from a painting by the Belgium artist Albert Beerts.
