He lived at 75, Smallwood Road, Tooting with his wife Mary and two sons and three daughters. He served as a private in the 13th East Surrey Regiment (11128) and survived the war. He died in 1952.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Charles Stanford as the eldest son of Charles and Mary Stanford. He was born on the 29th April 1902. He married Evelyn Mary Irene Thickens in 1928 and worked as a foreman in a warehouse.
