Stoke, Devonport, 17 July, 1892; educ. Devonport High School; went to Australia in June, 1911; enlisted 15 Feb. 1915, proceeded to the Dardanelles, where he was severely wounded in right leg, and died of dysentery and compound fracture of leg on board H.M.H.S. Aquitania, 20 Oct. 1915; buried Mudros East; unm.
