Clyde, Otago, New Zealand, 2 April, 1887; educ. there; was by trade a Printer; volunteered on the outbreak of war; joined the New Zealand Expeditionary Force 28 Aug. 1914, and was killed in action in Gallipoli, 2 May, 1915; unm. He was a well known athlete in Central Otago and was a member of the C.U.
