Ayr, Painter; b. 29 May, 1893; educ. Kilmarnock Academy; enlisted in the R.F.A. 8 March, 1917; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 15 Nov. following, and died at Iway, near Cambrai, 16 Oct. 1918, of wounds received in action the previous day.
