(Royal Canadians), eldest s. of Archibald Montgomery Toomey, of 20, Palmerston Park, Dublin, by his wife, Nina, dau. of Surg.-Major James Roche Nagle; b. Dublin, 17 Dec. 1891; educ. St. Stephen’s Green School; Portora Royal School, and Trinity College, Dublin (Medical School); volunteered on the outbreak of war and was gazetted 2nd Lieut., 6th Leinsters, 26 Aug. 1914; served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force at the Dardanelles from 5 Aug. 1915, to 10 Aug. 1915; killed in action at Suvla Bay on the later date; unm.
