Ayr, Painter; b. 29 May, 1893; educ. Kilmarnock Academy; enlisted in the R.F.A. 8 March, 1917; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 15 Nov. following, and died at Iway, near Cambrai, 16 Oct. 1918, of wounds received in action the previous day. Buried in the Military Cemetery, Quéant, Croisilles, west of Cambrai; unm.
